🎉 Support MWGB & Bid on Amazing Items at the Silent Auction!

Each year, it takes hundreds of volunteer hours and more than $75,000 to make Midwest Geobash possible. From our zero-dollar entry fee and tons of free giveaways to low-cost camping fees and a packed schedule of activities, MWGB is only possible thanks to the incredible support of our community—that means YOU!

One of the ways attendees can help support the event is by participating in the MWGB Silent Auction, held Saturday in Spangler Arena. All proceeds from the auction go directly toward covering event expenses and ensuring MWGB remains affordable and fun for everyone.

Donate. Bid. Have Fun.

The Silent Auction is a voluntary and fun way to give back. We welcome a wide variety of donated items, including:

  • Handmade items such as knitted goods or quilts

  • Custom cache containers

  • Woodworking or other handcrafted creations

  • Extra geocoins, pathtags, and geocaching collectibles

This is your chance to show off your talents, share your creativity, and support a great event at the same time!

  • Donations are accepted until Saturday at noon

  • Preferred drop-off: Friday evening. 

  • Please check the event schedule for official auction drop-off times

You’re also encouraged to post what you’re donating in the Midwest Geobash Community Group on Facebook so everyone can preview the amazing items that will be available!

🏷 How the Silent Auction Works

  • Check the event schedule for auction hours

  • Stop by Spangler Arena to browse items and place your bids

  • To bid, write your name clearly and a bid amount at least $1 higher than the previous bid

  • Legible names are required—if we can’t read your name, the item will go to the next highest bidder

  • When the auction ends, all pens go down and bidding must stop

After the auction closes, bid sheets will be collected, winners compiled, and results posted. A receipt will be ready for you at checkout.
